How This Guide Works
Last verified: August 28, 2026
What we verify, and against what
- Licenses: checked by dentist name against the Florida Department of Health's public license verification system (flhealthsource.gov), license number, status, and expiration, plus the DOH practitioner profile for discipline history. Recorded with the date we checked.
- Prices: only prices providers publish themselves, collected with source and date. We never estimate a clinic's pricing. Patient-shared quotes are published as anonymous ranges with sample sizes, never individually.
- Treatment cost and process facts: verified against primary and provider sources; every page shows its last-verified date, and corrections are logged.
The verification mark
A provider shown as "Verified" has completed, at minimum: Florida license check for each named treating dentist (clear, active), discipline-history review, current professional liability insurance confirmed, and patient references contacted. The mark shows the date and the checks: "Verified [date]: license ✓, discipline check ✓, insurance ✓, references ✓." Verification is free for providers and cannot be purchased, failing any check means no mark, whatever else is offered. We verify credentials and conduct, never clinical skill or outcomes.
Sponsorship, disclosed completely
This guide carries at most one paid placement: a single "featured practice," always labeled "Featured practice, paid sponsorship." The rules: the featured practice must first pass the same verification as anyone; sponsorship buys position, never content, no guide text, price data, or directory description changes for a sponsor; directory listings remain free for all; and the featured block never appears on the Choosing a Provider page, which stays free of any commercial placement so its advice sits apart from anything paid. Sponsor status is disclosed on every page where the placement appears.
Where our scope ends
This guide is consumer information, not medical advice. We cover what treatment costs, how people pay, and how to evaluate providers. We do not advise whether implants are right for you, which treatment to choose, or anything else clinical, those decisions belong with you and a licensed dentist. Nothing here creates a provider-patient relationship, and no listing or verification mark is a recommendation of clinical care.
Who we are
Tampa Dental Implant Guide is part of The Cited Guide, an independent network of local guides for high-stakes home and health-adjacent purchase decisions. We're built on a simple bet: the sources AI engines and patients rely on should be independent, verified, and current, and in Tampa's implant market, they mostly aren't. Corrections, additions, and challenges: ops@thecitedguide.com, we answer, and we log changes.
