What Dental Implants Actually Cost in Tampa
Last verified: August 28, 2026 · Price sources: providers' own published pricing, collected and dated
Why two Tampa quotes for "the same thing" can differ by $15,000
An implant quote is a bundle, and clinics bundle differently. The advertised number often covers surgery and a denture-grade temporary; the final teeth, extractions, bone work, sedation, and imaging arrive as line items later. Before comparing prices, make every quote answer the same eight questions:
- Extractions, included for how many teeth?
- Bone grafting / sinus lift, included, excluded, or "if needed" (get the if-needed price now)?
- The temporary teeth, what are they made of, and how long are you meant to wear them?
- The final prosthesis, acrylic, or zirconia? (The zirconia upgrade alone commonly runs $4,000-$8,000 per arch.)
- Sedation, local, IV, or general, and whose bill is it on?
- Imaging, is the 3D CT scan in the price?
- Failures and remakes, if an implant fails to integrate in year one, who pays for the redo? Is any warranty in writing?
- Follow-up care, how many included visits, for how long?
Published Tampa prices, side by side
We collect every price Tampa-area providers publish themselves, with what it includes, in their own words, and the date we collected it. No estimates, no third-party guesses; where a clinic doesn't publish pricing, we say so, because that's information too.
What moves the price in Tampa specifically
Three local dynamics worth knowing. First, Tampa has heavy national-chain presence (ClearChoice, Affordable Dentures & Implants, Aspen Dental) competing against independent specialists, chains buy media and standardize pricing; independents compete on surgeon credentials and often beat chains on the same treatment when quotes are made comparable. Second, Florida's retiree volume keeps full-arch demand high, which supports both the $11,995 advertised entry offers and $30,000 premium zirconia work in the same city. Third, dental tourism (Costa Rica, Mexico) is a real factor patients raise, the honest comparison isn't the sticker price but who manages a complication in month three, and at what cost.
Is a cheap quote a red flag?
Not automatically, advertised entry prices are how high-volume practices fill surgical schedules, and volume genuinely lowers cost. It becomes a red flag when the eight questions above can't get written answers, when the "from" price quietly assumes you need no extractions and perfect bone, or when the price expires today. A legitimate quote survives a week of thinking.
